ABOUT US
A Steady Hand Through Estate Matters
Pusaka Chambers was set up for one purpose: to help families in Malaysia deal with inheritance and estate administration in a way that feels considered, not clinical.
Back to HomeOur Story
Pusaka Chambers was established in Shah Alam by lawyers who noticed the same thing repeatedly: families dealing with a bereavement were often left to navigate a confusing and impersonal legal process on top of their grief. Forms, court timelines, and unfamiliar terminology — all at the worst possible time.
The firm was built around a simpler idea. Estate law does not need to be rushed or complicated. What it does need is someone who explains things plainly, sets fees out upfront, and moves at a pace the family can follow.
We are based at Plaza Alam Sentral and serve families across Selangor and the wider Klang Valley. Our work covers will preparation, letters of administration where no will exists, and support where relatives are in disagreement about how an estate should be handled.
Our Mission
To make the legal side of inheritance as simple and clear as it can reasonably be — for every family that comes to us, regardless of the size of the estate or how complicated the situation appears at first.
Patience
We do not hurry families. Every consultation goes at your pace, and we are happy to revisit the same questions as often as needed.
Transparency
Every fee is put in writing before any work begins. There are no hidden costs or surprise invoices mid-process.

Estate Law Advice in Shah Alam and Selangor
Estate and inheritance matters in Malaysia sit across a range of legal frameworks. Non-Muslim estates are generally distributed under the Distribution Act 1958, while Muslim estates follow the faraid system derived from Islamic law. In practice, most families encounter a mix of both rules — particularly where assets are held in different forms or where beneficiaries come from mixed backgrounds.
Pusaka Chambers has built its practice around these realities. Our team advises on the full process of estate administration: from gathering asset information and lodging probate or administration applications, through to the final transfer of property and financial accounts to beneficiaries. We take particular care with matters that cross civil and faraid boundaries, explaining clearly how each framework applies and what it means for the family.
Will preparation is something we approach with patience. A well-drawn will reduces uncertainty and spares a family from court proceedings at an already difficult time. We draft documents in straightforward terms, check that wishes are legally effective, and encourage clients to review their will periodically as circumstances change.
Where families are in disagreement over an estate, we take a measured approach, looking first for a resolution that works for everyone before considering litigation. This is not always possible, but it is where we start.
